Car driver injured after ramming bus
Dubai: A sports utility vehicle rammed a public bus on the Dubai-Hatta Road yesterday morning resulting in one injury. Dubai Traffic Police confirmed that the accident occurred at 1.30am and the sport utility vehicle's Emirati driver sustained serious injuries. No one was reported hurt among the bus passengers.
12 rehabilitated addicts off to Haj
Dubai: Dubai Police will send 12 rehabilitated drug addicts on the Haj this year as a reward. The pilgrimage was sponsored by two anonymous donors who presented their donations to the Al Fajjr campaign for the Haj and Umrah.
Sharjah airport spruced up
Sharjah: Preparations for the Haj have been completed at Sharjah International Airport. The airport has completed its groundwork in cooperation with all relevant departments, including the passports, police, and Sharjah aviation services sections, to facilitate procedures and provide all required services. Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Qasimi, Director of Marketing and Research in the Sharjah Airport Authority, had chaired a meeting to facilitate all procedures that will be applied to travellers who will participate in this year's pilgrimage.
